-4(x - 3) - 6 < 18 Add 6 on both sides

-4(x - 3) - 6 + 6 < 18 + 6

-4(x - 3) < 24 Distribute/multiply -4 into (x - 3)

(x(-4) - 3(-4)) < 24

-4x + 12 < 24 Subtract 12 on both sides

-4x + 12 - 12 < 24 - 12

-4x < 12 Divide -4 on both sides (when you divide or multiply a negative number to both sides of the inequality, the sign is flipped)

x > -3 [x is a value greater than -3]

I graphed it and got x>-3. Hopefully I did it correctly.

I checked it a few times and it seems to check out too.
