Explanation:

In the equation ax^2 + bx + c, we know our factors will add up to b and multiply to c

So we have possible factors of 14 and 1 or 7 and 2

Only one of those factors will add to 9, so it is 7 and 2

So we set our factors equal to 0 which will give us (x+7) = 0 and (x+2) = 0

So we will get -7, and -2 as our factors
