End of the US westward expansion was known as "The End of the Frontier". By this, the government recognized that there was no longer any frontier line with any other government to the west, as well as any further land that had not been settled. This was a symbolic event in US history and had a positive impact in the nation's citizens, as the common vision of pioneering new territories and confronting the unknown came to a fruitful end. What would happen afterward, was a period in which the settlements of the west would develop quite rapidly. Nowadays, many of them have significant contributions to the country's economy.
