In fact, way before then, he managed to secure for himself several posts that ensured that he would be able to rise in the political arena, till he became President in 1945, till 1953. Among the very first things to know about this man is that he never graduated college. He started his studies, but due to lack of money, he was forced to work and could not complete his education. However, given his connections with the Democrats, especially Tom Pendergast, Truman was elected in 1922 as County Court Judge of Jackson County´s eastern district. He was elected more on an administrative role, than a judiciary one. However, he did manage to gain this post as judge in 1926 and later he was re-elected in 1930. It was not until later on, around 1934, that Truman became a U.S Senator for the state of Missouri.
