Calculate water decomposes into hydrogen (h2) and oxygen (O2) when an electric current is applied. How many grams of water must decompose to produce 2 grams of hydrogen and 16 grams of oxygen

Since the law of conservation of mass states that for any closed system the mass of the system must remain constant over time, the answer is that 18 grams of water will decompose to produce 2 grams of hydrogen and 16 grams of oxygen.
