What is botsein's purposed solution?

Botstein's solutions for the American School System were as such:

• Elementary School should begin at age 4 or 5 and end at 6th grade
• Middle School or Junior High would be completely abandoned. Beginning with 7th grade, 4 years of secondary education. Graduating at 16

• Enter real world of work, stay and home and attend junior college, attend a 4-year university

• For those who do not want any of the above a new kind of institution, dedicated to one activity, would be put in place. This allows teens to devote all their energies while working with professionals in that field of study.

Botstein’s proposed solution is to eliminate middle school and only have elementary (k-6) and high school (7-10) and have students graduate at 16.
