Answer: y= -0.5x-3

Explanation:
fully simplified slope-intercept form: y=mx+b
point a: (0, -3) [y-intercept]
point b: (-10, 2)

Δy/Δx means the change of y ÷ the change of x. also known as your slope.

1. Find the Δy/Δx
Δy --> y2-y1 = 2-(-3) = 2+3 = 5
Δx --> x2-x1 = -10-0 = -10

Δy/Δx = -5/10 --> simplied --> -5/10 ÷ 5 = -1/2 or -0.5

y=-0.5x+b

2. Looking at the y-intercept, we know that b = -3.

y= -0.5x-3
