Answer:

40 + 2M = 100

40 + 2M -40 = 2M

100 - 40 = 60

2M = 60

2M / 2 = M

60 / 2 = 30

M = 30

Explanation:

You start out with 40 points(40 + 2M = 100). Then you add the rate in which you earn points (40 + 2M = 100). Then you set that equal to the "target" or goal you are hoping to achieve in reward points (40 + 2M = 100). First, to start the simplification process you would subtract 40 from both sides of the equal sign, giving you 2M = 60. To then further your simplification you want to get M by itself. You would next need to divide both sides of the equal sign by 2. That gives you a final product of M = 30. To explain your answer you would say "You need to see 30 more movies to earn the reward"

Good luck!

Answer:

We need 100 points and have 40, so we need 100 - 40 more points.

Explanation:

2m = 100 - 40.

2m = 60 after combining like terms.

Dividing both sides by 2, we get m = 30.

So, you would need to see 30 more movies to get the free movie pass.

Hope this Helps!
