Slope-intercept form:

y = mx + b "m" is the slope, "b" is the y-intercept

Since you know m =
(2)/(3), you can plug it into the equation

y = mx + b

y=(2)/(3)x + b

To find "b", plug in the point (-9, 5) into the equation

y=(2)/(3)x + b

5=(2)/(3)(-9)+b

5=(-9(2))/(3)+b

5=(-18)/(3) +b

5 = -6 + b Add 6 on both sides

11 = b

y=(2)/(3)x+11
