How can you restrict the domain of the function f(x)=|x+4|-2 so the range of the inverse function f^-1(x),is [-4, )

The range of the inverse has to match the domain of the original function. We want to have
f^(-1)(x) map to
[-4,\infty), so we restrict the domain of
f(x) to this interval.
