Every redox reaction consists of two parts, the oxidation and the reduction. Each one separately is called a half - reaction. During the redox reaction there is a transfer of electrons from the substance being oxidized to the substance being reduced. In a voltaic cell, these reactions happen in separate vessels.

Answer: Oxidation and Reduction Reactions.

Explanation: Redox Reaction is a type of reaction in which the oxidation reaction as well as the reduction reaction takes place simultaneously.

Oxidation reaction is the one in which one species loses electrons and appears as cation and reduction reaction is the reaction in which the other species accept electrons.

The one which loses electrons is known as Oxidizing Agent as it helps the other specie to accept electrons and the one which accepts electrons is known as Reducing Agent .
