Y - 3x = 4

2x + 1 = -y

How would I put these both in slope-intercept form?

Answer:

y = 3x+4

y = -2x-1

Explanation:

slope intercept form

y= mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

to get in this form we solve for y

y -3x =4

add 3x to each side

y-3x+3x = 3x+4

y = 3x+4 where 3 is the slope and 4 is the y intercept

2x+1 = -y

flip the sides

-y = 2x+1

multiply by -1

-1* -y = -1 * 2x + -1 *1

y = -2x-1 the slope is -2 and the y intercept is -1
