Even if a is negative, the square is positive because of the rule - when multiplied by - becomes +.

Here we have a square root of a negative number. So this is an imaginary number only since any real number will have only positive square.

Thus √-1.21 is an imaginary number

Let i represent √-1

Then we have √-1.21 = √-1(√1.21)

= 1.1 i

Thus real root is 1.1 multiplied by imaginary number i.
