Mr. Birdwell asked the class if this statement was true: An object that has balanced forces acting on it CANNOT be moving. Most of the class said it was false, but Alison thinks it is true. Who is right and why?

choice D. the class is correct. If an object is traveling at a constant velocity it is experiencing balanced forces

Alison is right because for example:

Say you have a ball you pull on it the left side and then the right, if you pull on both sides the at the same time at an equal force the ball wont move....Its Newtons first law of motion

Answer: Alison is right because of Newtons first law of motion
