A square is a polygon with 4 sides whereas a triangle is a polygon with 3 sides.

The comparison of a triangle cannot be done with a square. When a square is divided by a diagonal, two isosceles triangles can be seen but it is not true to say that a square can be similar to a triangle.

A triangle has 3 sides and a square has 4 sides so there is no similarity in between them. Therefore, it is false to say so.
