Now we have to calculate, how much you have to pay to the cashier for your purchase.

Answer-

Hint- You can solve this by unitary method.

The price of each candy packet = $0.99 =
\$(99)/(100)

So price of 10 candy packets will be =
(99)/(100)* 10=(990)/(100)=\$9.90

Therefore, you have to pay $9.90 to the cashier for your purchase.
