Explanation:

While diving, if the bases are the same you have to subtract the powers.

4√2 can be written as 2^(1/4)

2^(3-1/4) use common denominator of 4 for the power and you get 2^(11/4)

\frac{2^(3) }{\sqrt[4]{2} } \\=\frac{2^(3) }{2^{(1)/(4) } }\\ =2^{3-(1)/(4) } \\=2^{(11)/(4) }

I used the exponent law. When you are dividing powers of the same base you keep one base and subtract the exponents.
