Answer:

By hour 12 she can stock 119 items an hour.

Explanation:

Her initial rate is 200 items per minute.

At hour 8 her rate decreases by 10%

10% of 200 is 20

200/100 = 2

2 * 10 = 20

200 - 20 = 180

Her new rate at hour 8 is 180 items an hour.

At hour 9 her rate decreases by another 10% from her past stocking rate of 180 items an hour. 10% of 180 is 18.

180/100 = 1.8

1.8 * 10 = 18

180 - 18 = 162

Her new rate t hour 9 is 162 items per hour.

Repeat these steps until hour 12.

At hour 10 her rate decreases by another 10% from her past stocking rate of 162 items an hour. 10% of 162 is 16.2. Since stocking a binary function, either you stocked it or you didn't, we will say it is 16. Her new rate is 146 items per hour.

At hour 11 her rate decreases by another 10% from her past stocking rate of 146 items an hour. 10% of 146 is 14.6. Her new rate is 132 items per hour.

At hour 12 her rate decreases by another 10% from her past stocking rate of 132 items an hour. 10% of 132 is 13.2. Her new rate is 119 items per hour.
