Answer:

x =2

Explanation:

  • Let O is the incenter
  • Let D is the point on line AB where OD = 4x -1
  • Let E is the point on line BC where OE = 6x -5

As we can see, OD = OE

<=> 4x -1 = 6x -5

<=> 2x =4

<=> x=2

Substitute x = 2 into OD we have:

4*2 -1 = 7 units

or Substitute x = 2 into OE we have:

6*2 -5 = 7 units

So the distance from a side of the triangle to the incenter is 7 units
