Answer:

Slope=-3

Explanation:

The formula used for slope is y2-y1/x2-x1

So -4-5/2 (-1) = -9/3= -3

Answer:

(-9)/(3)

Simplified: -3

Explanation:

So here we will do rise over run which is
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

So here we have the points (-1,5) and (2,-4), lets plug these in!

(-4-5)/(2-(-1))

Since we are subtracting a negative from a positive it would be simpler and a lot better if we were to turn that into
(-4-5)/(2+1)

Now we do the equations!

-4-5= -9

2+1=3

Plug these in! Note that since the nine is negative, the whole thing will be!

(-9)/(3)

Simplify:

-3
