Answer:

a) 5+(-8)

b) -9+7

c) -3+(-8)

d) -1+4

Explanation:

for a) you just so the same thing you had in the example

for b) the double negative is a positive so that changes to a +

for C) you do the same in the example and you can ignore the brevity in front of the 3 (I think)

for d) you do the same as b) double negative is positive
