Answer:

x = -8/5, y = 1/10

Explanation:

From the second equation, -5x=8, so x = -8/5.

Substituting this into the first equation,

$-(8)/(5)=4y-2 \\ \\ (2)/(5)=4y \\ \\ y=(1)/(10)$
