The answer is B) government positions.

In 1960, Almost all African Americans voted for Kennedy and supported his presidential campaign all around the country in the United States. When he won the elections and took office, in January 1961, African Americans expected a lot from the new administration. For instance, with the intention of reinforce the Civil Rights Commission, he decided to designate a number of African Americans to high-level positions in his administration.
