$(4x + 3(x-1))/(12)\\\\$

$(4x+3x-3)/(12)\\  \\$

(7x-3)/(12) = 2 + x

$7x -3 = 12(2+x)\\\\7x - 3 = 24 + 12x\\\\12x - 7x = -3 - 24\\\\5x = -27 \\\\x = (-27)/(5) = -5.4$
