Answer: 2.35 miles

Check out the attached image below. A drawing often helps visualize the problem. In this case, all three locations are along the same vertical line. The distances 1.75 and 0.6 can be added up as those smaller segments form the entire distance we want (from park to library). So that's how I got 1.75+0.6 = 2.35
