Explanation:

So to find the x coordinate of the vertex of a parabola, you do -b/2a. In your case it is - (-6) / 2(1). Which is 6/2 when simplified it is 3. Now to find your y coordinate you plug the 3 in for x. When you do you get y ( f(x) ) = 36. Now plug that y coordinate in an there is your vertex. (3, 36)
