I draw a card from a poker deck, and without replacing it, draw another. What is the probability I get two aces

Answer:

For the first card drawn it is 4/52 or 1/13 it is an ace

When drawing the second card the odds are 3/51 or 1/17 it is an ace

The odds that BOTH cards are aces = 1/13 * 1/17 = 1/221

Answer:

(4/52) * (3/51)

Explanation:

The chances of pulling a ace from a standard deck is 4 of 52 cards. (One of each suit)

Once you've pulled one, the chance of an ace is 3 of 51, because there's one less ace.

You just have to simply multiply these two values to get your answer.
