Well, self-esteem in adolescence usually declines because our bodies are changing because of puberty. This usually leads to us becoming more critical of ourselves. Thus, our self image declines because of that. Bullying is also very prevalent during adolescence. People start making fun of each other and that harms the way we view ourselves.

Since you do not have the choices listed, perhaps the following will help.

It drops in early adolescence. It does this because some teens are critical of their appearance, abilities, their interests and their shortcomings. Also, society influences your self-esteem because you receive messages about your appearance, gender, cultural group, and values.
