HELP QUICK PLS I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO THIS

For the last fivedays the average temperature was 63°F. If the temperature for the first fourdays were 56°F, 60°F, 79°F,70°Fwhat was the temperature for the fifth day?

i dont know what to do. the arithmetic sequesnce is off and ive been bashing my head aginnst my desk for 3 hours

The average is found by adding all the temperatures together, then dividing by the number of days.

Since the average for five days was 63, then the total of the temperatures need to equal 63 x 5 = 315.


The total for the first four days was : 56 + 60 + 79 + 70 = 265


The fifth day is 315 - 265 = 50 degrees.
