Which government body conducts a trial to decide if the president of the united states should be removed from office

In the case of a Presidential impeachment, the United State Senate acts as the Jury and the Chief Justice of the United States acts as the Judge of the trial.

The US House of Representatives is, in essence, the part responsible for the indictment of the President and prepares the articles of Impeachment.
