Answer:

Plants found only in rain forests are the source for medicines that treat many diseases and other physical problems, such as malaria, arthritis, diabetes, glaucoma, muscle tension, and heart disease. Rain forests contribute food to our diets, such as bananas, avocados, cassava, and cashews. Since plants need carbon dioxide to photosynthesize, a rain forest such as the Amazon requires large amounts of carbon dioxide to survive.

One of the greatest benefits of rainforests is the climate control of our planet, especially since greenhouse gas emissions is a great threat to our environment. Another great benefit is the medicine that is extracted from it. Much of Western medicine derives from plants in the rainforests.
