Formula

P = 2w + 2L

63 = 2(1/2L) + 2L

Solution

63 = L + 2L

63 = 3 L Divide by 3

63/3 = 3L/3

L = 21

w= 21/2 = 10.5

Check

P = 2L + 2w

P = 2*21 + 2*10.5

P = 42 + 21

P = 63 which it should.
