The Second New Deal is the second stage of the New Deal programs proposed by President Roosevelt. These programs were launched during the period of 1935 to 1936 and include:

  1. Social Security Administration: Created by the Social Security Act. It is an Institution that manages the social welfare and social insurance programs promoted by the federal government.
  2. National Labor Relations Board: Created by the National Labor Relations Act. It is an organization that serves as a mediator when disputes arise between labor unions and enterprises.
  3. Rural Electrification: Created by the Rural Electrification Act. it was a series of federal loans made to cooperative electric power companies in order for them to install electrical infrastructure in the rural areas of the United States
  4. Undistributed Profits Tax: It aimed to force business into distributing profits in the form of dividends and wages. It was eventually turned down by Congress and completely eliminated by 1939.
  5. Public Utility Holding Act: It aimed to improve the regulation of electric utilities, by either restricting their operations to one state or by making them divest so that each became part of an integrated power system which served a certain geographical area.
