So you have 2x-5y=11
First you need to put 2x on the right side of the equal sign
Then once you do that you get -5y=-2x+11. all you have to do now is get the -5 by the y on the right side of the equal sign
Answer: y=2/5x-2.2

Remark

The slope intercept form is

y = mx + b

Note that the y has 1 as its coefficient and b is related to the 11 (which is neither an x or y term)

Solution

Subtract 2x from both sides.

2x - 2x - 5y = 11 - 2x Combine like terms

-5y = 11 - 2x Divide by - 5

-5y/-5 = 11/-5 - 2x/-5 Do the division

y = -11/5 + 2x / 5 Answer

Discussion

This is not the only answer

It could be

y = 0.4x - 2.2
