First of all, you need to know what the phosphate group is. The phosphate group is a group of molecules that have phosphate atoms covalently bonded to oxygen atoms.

Therefore:

Phospholipids, as its name might suggest, are a group of lipids containing molecules of the phosphate group.

Hope it helped,

phospholipids head and tails.
Phospholipids consist of a hydrophilic, or water loving head, and a hydrophobic or water fearing tail

structure of a phospholipid.
There is one head made up of glycerol linked to phosphorous and there are two carbon-hydrogen chains

parts of the phospholipids are hydrophobic and hydrophilic
The head is hydrophilic and the two tails are hydrophobic

Describe a phospholipid -molecule and its interaction with water consists of a polar end containing a phosphate group that is hydro-phillic, and a non-polar end containing two fatty acids that is hydrophobic. When it is placed in water, the phospholipid molecules form a bilayer

Hope's this help hun
