Hey there!

We know that the dividend is 24.

If we were to divide 24 by 4, we would get 6.

4+2=6

This keeps within the boundaries set by the problem.

When finding numbers like these, it is easiest to see what multiplies to make a certain number than use the rules to find which ones work.

1,24

2,12

3,8

4,6

It makes it much easier.

I hope this helps!

24 is the dividend

The missing number is 2 more than the answer

24 / 4 = 6

6 is two more than the answer (4)

Your answer is 6

Hope this helps
