reduce the equation (y+5=0) to slope-intercept form, and hence find the slope and Y-intercept of the line.

y = 5 is slope intercept

the y-intercept is 5 because the value for y is 5 regardless of x value on the graph

it would be plotted like such

(-3,5) (-2,5) (-1,5) (0,5) (1,5) (2,5) (3,5)

slope intercept form is: y = mx + b

Isolate the y. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other. Subtract 5 from both sides

y + 5 (-5) = 0 (-5)

y = 0 - 5

y = 5

slope (the number signified by m that is next to x): 0

y-intercept (the b): 5
