ANSWER TO QUESTION A

The amount of money the team can raise is given by the function rule,

y=3x+28 where
x is the number of calendars sold and
y is the total amount in dollars.

a) When
50 calendars are sold, we substitute
x=50 in to the function rule to obatin,

y=3(50)+28

\Righarrow y=150+28

\Righarrow y=178

Therefore $178 was earned when 50 calendars were sold.

ANSWER TO QUESTION B

When
75 calendars are sold, we substitute
x=75 in to the function rule to obatin,

y=3(75)+28

\Righarrow y=225+28

\Righarrow y=253

Therefore the team earned $253 when 75 calendars were sold.

ANSWER TO QUESTION C.

When
90 calendars are sold, we substitute
x=90 in to the function rule to obatin,

y=3(90)+28

\Righarrow y=270+28

\Righarrow y=298

Therefore the team earned $298 when 90 calendars were sold.

ANSWER TO QUESTION D.

The table below represents the x-values and y-values for number of calendars sold and the corresponding dollars earned.

\left\begin{array}{cc}x&y\\50&178\\75&253\\90&298\end{array}\right

The range refers to all the y-values in the table. The range represents the amount of money raised by team in dollars after selling the calendars.
