y ≥ 1x+1

y ≥ x+1

Two points that are on the graph of y ≥ x+1 are (0,1)and (1,2).

Use the equation for finding the slope.

(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

(2-1)/(1-0)=
(1)/(1)=1

The slope is 1.

Note the equation (the equal sign can be replaced by any other sign (greater than, less than, etc).

y = mx + b

y = y

x = x

m = slope

b = y-intercept

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this case, 1 is in the place of m, therefore, 1 is the slope.
