Each section is 24 feet I believe because if you cut up an eight-foot length into 3 pieces it would be 24 because 8 x 3 is 24. I'm so sorry I'm only in 7th grade so I'm TERRIBLE at mathematics! I hope this helps. If I'm wrong, sorry.
