Does anyone know what 'intercepts' and 'gradient' is in Algebra. Doing revision for Math Exam and can't find it anywhere in notes. Please give me a definition and example of both and you will be my superhero.

Thanks xx

gradient is difference in y / difference in x

(easiest way is to draw a right angle triangle and the gradient is the hypotenuse)

x intercept is where the graph goes through the x axis (left to right)

y intercept is where the graph goes through the y axis (up and down)

hope that helps you get it
