348 / 15 = 23.2

232 / 23.2 = 10

10 gallons needed.

Hi!

We will solve this using proportions, like this:

348 miles using 15 gallons

232 miles using x gallons

_____________________

x = (232*15)/348

x = 3480/348

x = 10

He would need 10 gallons of gas to drive 232 miles.

Hope this helps!
