f(x)=(1)/(3)x-1

x-intercept for y = 0:

0=(1)/(3)x-1 add 1 to both sides

1=(1)/(3)x multiply both sides by 3

$3=x\to x=3$

x-intercept = 3 → (3, 0)

y-intercept for x = 0

$y=(1)/(3)(0)-1\\\\y=-1$

y-intercept = -1 → (0, -1)
