We have to use distributive property, in the distributive property we multiply a sum by multiplying each addend separately and then add the products.


a * (b+c)= a * b + a * c

In ten seconds, Cheetah will cover,


10 * 103 = 1030 ft

In ten seconds, Zebra will cover,


x * 10= 10 x ft

So the distance by which Cheetah is farther than Zebra is,


1030 - 10x
