You can tell from the narrator that Oona is very brave. You can tell Oona is brave when she confides in Negore, to let him in on the details of her father's story.
Evidence for this is in paragraph #12, where Oona says, "I was thy woman to be, Negore, but thou art a coward; the daughter of Old Kinoos mates not with a coward!" This proves that Oona has respect for not only her father, but his and her wishes. She is not afraid to speak her mind regarding her father.
