A patient is to take 60mg of an antibiotic on day 1 ,take 45 mg on days 2 and 3 ,take 30mg on day 4 and 5 and take 15 mg on day 6 and 7. How many total mg will the patient take ?

This is basically simple addition.

1st day=60

2nd day=45

3rd day=45

4th day=30

5th day=30

6th day=15

7th day=15

So, we solve the equation; 60+45+45+30+30+15+15=240

Your final answer; the patient will take 240mg of antibiotics.
