Answer:

Gothic style has several characteristics. Although each form of manifestation of Gothic art has its particularities, some characteristics are common to all of them:

  • Naturalism
  • Symbolism
  • Religiousness
  • Dynamism
  • Vertical elevations
  • Natural lighting
  • Didacticism

Step-by-step explanation:

The term “gothic” was originally created to belittle art that did not follow the artistic standards of Greece and Classical Rome. However, the word “gothic” that comes from “barbarian”, therefore backward, according to the medieval mentality, soon gained another connotation when it became associated with the most modern cities in Europe with its monumental cathedrals.
