Answer

Find out the how many votes were cast to Kamran .

To prove

Let us assume that the x be the scalar multiple of the adana and kamran votes.

As given

A total of 14000 votes were costed to two opposing candidates Adnan and Kamran.

Adana won by ratio of 4 to 3 .

i.e the Adana vote ratio to Kamran ratio be 4: 3.

Thus

Adana votes = 4x

Kamran votes = 3x

Than the equation becomes

4x + 3x = 14000

7x = 14000

x = (14000)/(7)

x = 2000.

Kamran votes = 3 × 2000

= 6000

Therefore 6000 votes were cast to Kamran .
