Which statement is true about the graphs of these functions: f(x)=6x+4 f(x) =5x-2

A.) the lines are parallel
B.) the lines are perpendicular
C.)the lines intercept, but are not perpendicular
D.) the lines coincide
**for bonus points, choose a function above and (1) list the slope and y-intercept, (2) rewrite the equation of the line in standard form, and (3) rewrite the equation of the line in point slope form.

m_1  = 6, m_2 = 5In general, the functions are of the form

y = f(x) = mx  +b

The linear functions are

f(x) = 6x + 4\\f(x) = 5x -2

Let
m_1 = 6, m_2 = 5.

A. False: the lines are parallel if
m_1 = m_2 but this does not happen.

B. False. The lines are perpendicular if
m_1m_2 = -1 and clearly this does not happen.

C.
6x + 4 = 5x - 2\\x = -6\\6(-6) + 4 = -32 = 5(-6) -2

Then C is true.

D. False. The lines are not the same.
