y=mx+b

m=slope

b=y-intercept or y value when x=0

we are given slope=4 and a point (1,2)

we can use the slope=4, as m=4, but we don't know y intercept

replace it with b and solve for the value of b that will make the equation true when the point (1,2) is put into it

(1,2), x=1 and y=2

y=4x+b

2=4(1)+b

2=4+b

-2=b

the equation is y=4x-2

answer is H

The answer to your question is H. Slope is the number before x so (4). To see which point works, plug in the x value, and see which correctly gives you the y value. Plugging in 1 into H makes it true.
